Overview:
TRUFTZ is dedicated to “empowering film in rural and marginalized areas so that film and cinema can be used as a conduit to better the lives of people in that area” .  Their mission includes creating a nationwide township-based mobile cinema network—starting in Zimbabwe and extending across Africa—to screen independent and international films in underserved communities


Our Contribution:
We partnered with TRUFTZ to enhance their digital presence and expand their impact through the following deliverables:

  • Custom Responsive Website: Designed and developed an engaging platform showcasing TRUFTZ’s mission, team, film festival (Township & Rural Film Festival 2024), media, and blog content to connect with a global audience.

  • Digital Strategy & SEO Optimization: Implemented an SEO-first approach to improve discoverability, highlight mobile cinema workshops in Matebeleland, and promote future festival events.

  • Content & Campaign Planning: Amplified critical storytelling around rural workshops—highlighting how “film workshops for African children in marginalized areas … serve as a powerful tool for education, self‑expression, and empowerment”

  • Integrated Digital Marketing: Developed and executed email newsletters, social media content calendars, and partner outreach campaigns to drive festival attendance and sponsorship.

  • Analytics & Community Engagement: Set up performance tracking tools, enabling TRUFTZ to measure site traffic, content engagement, and campaign ROI, as well as facilitate volunteer and sponsor sign-ups via integrated forms.

Result:
The new digital ecosystem successfully raised TRUFTZ’s profile, drove increased engagement from sponsors, volunteers, and filmmakers, and positioned the organisation as a leader in bringing cinema to marginalized communities. Within six months, site visits grew 250%, newsletter sign-ups increased 300%, and festival registrations doubled.
